Walnut fire doors are produced from an increasingly popular hardwood choice because of its smooth and tight grain texture. The black walnut veneer is generally straight grained, but occasionally has a wavy or curly grain that produces an attractive and decorative effect. Black American walnut is known as a strong and stable wood and its density stands for the long-lasting feature that this wood has. Moreover, Doors4UK is environmentally aware, which means that these doors are produced from socially responsible black veneer wood selections.
Please note: As wood is a naturally grown material, each tree may have slightly different colours and figure/patterns - like its own fingerprint. As we use only natural woods with their unique nature-related differences and peculiarities, please be aware that each door will have its own ‘fingerprint’ of nature. Colour variations between the samples and final door products are a given. At HGM, our veneers are all environment-friendly products from sustainably managed forests. These are selected and personally inspected by our real wood specialists.

In this way, we are careful to work with wood while at the same time fully exploiting the creative potential that the material offers. A veneer is created by cutting a tree trunk into many thin veneer leaves and thus releasing its individual growth characteristics leaf by leaf.
